Still from The Silent Protest

The Silent Protest: Jerusalem 1929 (2019) directed by Mahasen Nasser-Eldin

On 26 October 1929, Palestinian women launched their women's movement in Jerusalem. Approximately 300 women converged into the city from all over Palestine. They held a silent demonstration through a car convoy across the city in protest at the British High Commissioner's bias against Arabs in the Buraq uprising. This is their story.

A trailer for the film can be seen here.

Still from The Jamila's Mirror

Jamila's Mirror (1993) directed by Arab Loutfi

Jamila's Mirror deals with the memories of palestinian female guerrilla fighters, currently in their forties, who were involved in military operations during their teen years.

Both films are captioned in English.
